HISTORY |
Established in 1914 as "National Italian Association among the
manufacturers of the mechanical industry", ANIMA soon asserted
itself as the leading economic structure, grouping the most important
names of the newly born Italian industry, from Giovanni Agnelli to Giuseppe
Orlando to Ercole Marelli.
Soon after the tragic war events, ANIMA started off again: representing
within the General Confederation of the Italian Industry - Confindustria
the most qualified mechanical end engineering companies, in a short time
the Association became the national reference point for the whole branch,
of which ANIMA promotes the growth, the development end the up-to-date
technological modernisation.
These were years of evolution that in 1988 brought about the transformation
of ANIMA from "Association of companies" to "Federation
of Associations and Unions": a decisive step that offered the
thousand member-companies - covering more than 60 manufacturing specializations
- a modern "system" to gain goals at national and international
ambit.
