ASTA was created in 1994 as a member of ANIMA and it groups the most qualified and prestigious companies of the sector. The three main manufactured products are:
- hot pressed parts in copper
- hot pressed parts in aluminium
- hot pressed parts in brass

In Italy this sector occupies more than 2.200 employers and has a total turnover of 410 million euro, above all in the internal market.
ASTA is the meeting point for the operators of the branch aiming, in order to improve the quality of their products and services and to gain greater weight, to transparency and competitiveness in the global market.
